Death Valley. USA

Lowest and driest area in Northamerica, this desert valley is located in eastern California. Temperatures of almost 60 degrees Celsius have been reported at Furnace creek, its hottest place. You should drive through it when you go from Vegas or the Grand Canyon towards Yosemitee Park. Photos from 1995

Yosemite National Park. USA

Situated on the Sierra Nevada of California, and a World Heritage site since the eighties, Yosemite is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls and scenic landscapes. Photos from 1995.

Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah. USA

Monument valley, worldwide famous since it appeared in so many wonderful John Ford movies like “Stagecoach” or “The searchers”, is a region of the Colorado plateau characterized by a cluster of vast red sandstone buttes, reaching up until 300 m height. The park is located on the Arizona/Utah state line within the range of the Navajo Nation Reserve. Photo from 1995.

The Golden Gate, San Francisco. USA

Often declared one of the modern Wonders of the World, its red metallic structure dominates the San Francisco landscape. Since its opening in 1937 the bridge has became probably the most photographed bridge in the world. Photos taken in 1995.
