Copan. HONDURAS
The Mayan site of Copan, abandoned, as the other Mayan capitals, in the tenth century, is situated on the Motagua valley, 12 km from the Guatemalan border. The most remarkable sights are the marvelous hieroglyphic stairway and the amazing steles. Photos from 1998
