Bruges. BELGIUM

I took a short three day trip to Flanders, in early 2001. I arrived to Bruges the afternoon, strolled a bit through this beautiful city and the night it started snowing. The next morning the city woke up covered with a marvelous white layer. Just magic.

Ghent. BELGIUM

Since I can remember, I always wanted to go to Ghent, probably because Castafiore, the opera diva from Tintin, spoke once of the city as something very romantic. It took many years but I finally made it in 2001. And I must say that the city IS indeed romantic, especially covered with snow.
