Kunene River. ANGOLA
No I
haven’t been in the agitated country of Angola … well, technically yes. We took
a rafting trip on the Kunene River and stop for a while on some islands that
are Angolan territory (First and last photo). The rest of the photos are
landscapes of the Angolan side of the river, seen from the Namibian side.

Cheetah Farm Guesthouse. NAMIBIA
The latest thing in tourism accommodation in Namibia. Many farms have some cheetahs in half-liberty and they allow the costumers to visit them during “diner” time. Being at two meters distance from these wild cats is an impressive experience. They have tamed three of them so you can even caress them, which I did (Photo by Erick T.), not without a little apprehension (Summer 2011)…

Promenade around Segovia. SPAIN
There’s a marvelous pathway that turns around Segovia through a few more than 10 kms. You will behold all the magic of the city from outside. On top of that the trail goes through monasteries, Romanesque churches and beautiful woods. It took all my afternoon, but it was definitely worth it. Summer 2003

The famous Edwardian five-star hotel is set at a ten-minute walk from the Falls using the hotel private pathway, the spray that comes from the Falls is visible from the Garden. Its charming colonial style date from 1904 but the photos were taken in Summer 2011.

Tulum, Yucatan. MEXICO
One of the most visited Mayan sites; Tulum was an important port during the 12th century, the Mayan postclassical period. The site is located on the Caribbean Sea coast, and is surrounded by wonderful beaches, where the pelicans glide in the very morning. Some photos took in 1996, but most of them during my second visit to the place in 2000.
